      Iran-Germany industrial relations to accelerate

      In a meeting between Iran's minister of industry, mine and trade and German Minister President of Lower Saxony, two sides discussed on the ways to improve industrial and business ties between the two countries.

      Shata: In his meeting with Stephen Weil, Minister President of Lower Saxony state of Germany, Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh expressed hope to expand cooperation and relations with European countries. He said, "we believe that Germany can be an active player in cooperation with Iran and there are numerous areas for investment".

      Referring to removal of barriers for cooperation, he added that there have been some limitations in money transfer with European banks while the Iranian banks have no problems and Iranian and German banks are now having smooth cooperation.

      Iran's minister of industry, mine and trade said that this condition facilitates expansion of activities in several ways.

      Presence of Iran and Iranian companies in exhibitions in this country for introduction of their capacities and investment opportunities is an important issue and Iran is interested in utilizing Germany's experience in International exhibitions, said Mr. Nematzadeh.

      Emphasizing on the importance of long term and strategic cooperation as one of Iran's priority in elevation of relations with other countries, he added that enjoying numerous potentials , young educated human resources, vast market and proximity to regional markets give Iran necessary capacities for synergic cooperation.

      Cooperation in engineering, research, auto industry, and infrastructure are a number of ways to boost bilateral cooperation, according to Mr. Nematzadeh.

      Referring to close economic ties between the two countries, Stephen Weil Minister President of Lower Saxony state of Germany, reiterated that there are several sectors for boosting cooperation and the German companies are interested in cooperating in these sectors.

      "We are at the onset of a new era for cooperation and we should pay due attention to banking and export guarantee insurance issues", he added.

      Stephen Weil said "Iran's door is now open and German companies are ready to take advantage of this opportunity and we hope that this would help expand the relations between two countries".
